Our team comprises experts in materials science, engineering, and manufacturing, all dedicated to advancing fiber-based packaging through innovation and sustainability.Role Summary: As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to deliver maintenance and administrative planning services to both internal and external stakeholders. You will serve as the key liaison for all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contacts, contractors, and regulatory entities. Your role will involve planning facility repairs and conducting daily assessments to ensure the plant operates efficiently and safely. Additionally, you will be tasked with scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will also oversee environmental compliance, site procurement, and inventory management.
Key Contributions to WestRock:
Oversee and monitor the maintenance budget, identify discrepancies, and provide justifications for any budget variances. Coordinate maintenance contractors' activities in alignment with production schedules. Determine required parts for maintenance tasks (preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, etc.) and strategize for their acquisition. Manage orders for raw materials, machinery spare parts, site supplies, and janitorial products. Process purchase requisitions efficiently. Verify and accurately code invoices to align with purchase orders. Acquire hands-on knowledge of production equipment, components, functions, and processes through direct engagement with production staff. Act as a vital member of the Production team, advocating for the group's interests in all relevant activities. Collaborate with maintenance contractors to assess feasibility and implement safety measures for ongoing work. Maintain open communication with the production team and maintenance contractors to address recurring equipment failures, provide updates on maintenance activities, and gather feedback. Participate in production meetings to discuss upcoming work requests, weekly scheduling, and outage planning. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and company policies. Conduct environmental audits and manage related administrative tasks. Regularly perform inventory checks to ensure adequate stock levels. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications for Success:
High School diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically in maintenance coordination, procurement, and inventory management. Familiarity with Flexographic printing is advantageous. Demonstrated analytical skills that inform decision-making processes. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in computer applications, including JDE, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Proven capability to adapt and respond proactively in a fast-paced environment.Why Choose WestRock:
