Our core values—integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence—guide our commitment to advancing fiber-based packaging through cutting-edge science and technology.Role Summary: As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering maintenance, administrative, and clerical support to both internal and external stakeholders. You will serve as the primary liaison for all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contacts, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Your responsibilities will include planning facility repairs and conducting daily assessments to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the facility. You will also oversee the scheduling and coordination of planned maintenance activities. Additionally, you will manage environmental compliance, site purchasing, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and monitor the maintenance budget, identify discrepancies, and provide justifications for any budget variances. Coordinate maintenance contractors' activities in alignment with production schedules. Determine necessary parts for maintenance tasks (preventative and corrective) and plan for their acquisition. Manage orders for raw materials, machinery spare parts, and other essential supplies. Process purchase requisitions accurately. Verify and code invoices to ensure they match purchase orders. Acquire hands-on knowledge of production equipment and processes through active engagement with production staff. Act as a vital member of the Production team, advocating for the group's interests in all related activities. Collaborate with maintenance contractors to assess feasibility and implement safety measures for upcoming work. Communicate effectively with the production team and maintenance contractors to address recurring equipment failures, provide updates on maintenance activities, and collect feedback. Participate in production meetings to discuss upcoming maintenance requests, scheduling, and outage planning. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and company policies. Conduct regular audits and maintain all environmental documentation. Perform frequent inventory checks to ensure stock levels are adequate. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:
High School diploma or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, specifically in maintenance coordination, purchasing, and inventory management. Familiarity with Flexographic printing is advantageous. Proven analytical skills that facilitate informed decision-making. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in computer applications, including JDE, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Demonstrated capability to adapt and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.Why Choose WestRock:
