Job Summary

  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently

Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm. The job requires moderate to high attention to detail when using motorized equipment, handling hazardous chemicals, and using non-motorized/general cleaning equipment.

The incumbent will work in a variety of environments, including the entire facility and surrounding property. The job requires lifting more than 30 pounds and may involve exposure to disagreeable conditions such as odors, isolation, and monotony.

Qualifications and Education
  • Public School and/or High School Graduate
  • An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable
Experience and Knowledge

More than three months but less than one year of prior related experience, including life skills and general familiarity with cleaning and maintenance procedures.

Skills and Capabilities
  • Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully
  • Ability and willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada
