Job Title: Full Time Janitor

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Full Time Janitor to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the facility
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Participate in authorized seminars and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge
  • Represent The Salvation Army in a professional manner at all times
Working Conditions:
  • This is a permanent full-time position
  • Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm with an unpaid meal break
  • May be required to lift more than 30 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • May be exposed to disagreeable conditions such as odors, isolation, and verbal abuse
Qualifications and Education:
  • Public School and/or High School Graduate
  • Alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable
Experience and Knowledge:
  • More than three months but less than one year of prior related experience
  • General familiarity with cleaning and maintenance procedures
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully
  • Ability and willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army
