Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and have 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Our work setting includes bustling restaurants and hotels, where you will navigate a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere. Expect to encounter noisy conditions and various odours typical of a kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Train team members on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team.

Physical Demands

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods and engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, which can be physically demanding.
