Position: Partnerships – Regional Coordinator
Salary: $63,036 - $78,849 - $86,734 per annum (details on pay range provided below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Location: VI Region Office, Vancouver Island

Role Overview
As the Regional Partnerships Coordinator, your responsibilities will include providing leadership in partnership initiatives with Vancouver Island First Nations, Island Health, and other health system partners. You will facilitate the alignment of collaborative efforts and cultivate relationships with health system partners based on community-identified priorities and emerging needs. Your role will involve coordinating efforts to address shared priorities, including tracking and reporting on key activities and initiatives.

Candidate Profile
To excel in this position, you will possess:

  • A post-secondary degree in Health Sciences, Education, Social Services, or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and professional experience.
  • Relevant and substantial experience in providing coordination support to First Nations communities, typically acquired over a 3–5-year period, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and the provincial and federal health systems, along with an understanding of First Nations health system needs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the goals and perspectives of BC First Nations, as well as knowledge of First Nations issues in relation to regional partnerships.

The top 10% of the pay range is reserved for incumbents who are industry experts with exceptional experience and competencies necessary to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
