Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Transport Driver to join our team at AGKS Transport Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, perform emergency roadside repairs, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and willingness to train.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, and reliability.
