Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Burlington, ON. As a Licensed Optician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert optical care to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring a positive experience
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and quality
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance and support to colleagues
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, utilizing technical skills and knowledge
  • Utilize technology efficiently, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail despite time pressure and customer volume
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, achieving exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store environment, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Report safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State Licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
  • Embracing new technology and change
