Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Therapeutic Relationships: Establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, promoting a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Medication Management: Safely prepare and administer medications as per policy and standards, adhering to the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
- Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient responses to therapeutic interventions and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Education: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required; BScN is preferred.
- Certifications: CPMHN(c) is an asset; completion of CPI or equivalent is required.
- Language: English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression; bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
- Skills: Basic computer skills are required; experience with electronic health records is an asset.
The Royal Mental Health Centre offers a competitive salary range of $39.07 to $56.00 per hour, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
