Job Title: Home Financing Advisor

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Home Financing Advisor to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our mortgage sales team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, referral partners, and community stakeholders to generate mortgage opportunities and referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our mortgage products and services to provide expert advice to clients.
  2. Build trust with clients by delivering transparent and honest advice, building rapport, and maintaining open communication throughout the mortgage process.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, to facilitate timely mortgage approvals and closings while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  4. Stay informed about market trends, mortgage products, and industry regulations to provide informed advice and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of proven success in the mortgage industry, or a related field.
  2. Strong commitment to trust development, client experience, and delivering exceptional service.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to succeed in a commission-based sales environment.
