Responsibilities and Qualifications:
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in English and Indigenous Literatures, with a focus on Indigenous perspectives. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in Indigenous protocols and collaboration with Elders and community members, as well as active participation in university committees.
Ideally, applicants will possess a PhD (or be nearing completion) in English, emphasizing Indigenous literatures and creative writing. A proven track record of excellence in research and publication is essential, along with a solid teaching history. Experience in First Nations environments and proficiency in a First Nations language will be considered advantageous. Compensation will be aligned with qualifications and experience.
