Assistant Professor of English and Indigenous Literatures

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our team at the First Nations University of Canada. This is a one-year term position located at our Regina campus.
About the PositionThis role will appeal to those who are passionate about teaching from an Indigenous perspective and have a strong commitment to research and community service within Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct introductory and senior undergraduate courses in English and Indigenous Literatures from an Indigenous perspective.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Elders and communities to ensure Indigenous protocols are respected.
- Participate in university committee service and contribute to the development of Indigenous-focused programs.
The successful candidate will have a PhD (or near completion) in English with a focus on Indigenous literatures and creative writing. They will also have a proven track record of research and publication, as well as experience working, teaching, or living in a First Nations environment.
