The Opportunity:

The Supply Chain Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in the orchestration of chick placements and the scheduling of processing activities. This position is responsible for meeting annual sales and procurement targets while fostering robust relationships with producers. This role is vital in ensuring that the requirements of producers, hatcheries, and processing facilities are met, all while achieving the organization's sales and procurement objectives for chick volumes and specialized products.

A Day in the Life:

Act as the primary liaison to ensure that the chick placement and procurement strategy aligns with key stakeholders, including sales, procurement operations, optimization, processing facilities, hatcheries, live haul, and loading teams. Accountable for achieving plant targets related to size, specialized products, and daily throughput by developing a comprehensive procurement strategy. Proactively engage with Alberta producers regarding chick sales and leases to meet or surpass business goals. Oversee production levels post-processing by reassessing lease agreements. Develop and manage schedules to ensure that the needs of the plant, sales, and logistics are fulfilled for over 70 producers. Create and oversee all lease agreements for each designated period. Monitor market share metrics. Serve as the key individual managing the plant's requirements while balancing internal constraints and operational capabilities. Build networks with industry stakeholders, such as ACP and other processors, to enhance our grower base and market share. Responsible for executing the chick ordering process. Generate RWA figures, along with distribution and status updates as necessary. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial responsibilities of the procurement coordinator, including verification of producer settlements. What You'll Bring:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A post-secondary education or university degree in Agriculture, Business, Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or related fields is preferred. A basic understanding of the complexities involved in poultry supply chain management and board regulations is preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities. Ability to execute tasks diligently and accurately. Strong problem-solving capabilities. Proven ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Well-organized with effective time management skills. Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently. A demonstrated commitment to Maple Leaf's Leadership Edge Values.
