Your Opportunity:

As a Data Analyst & Project Assistant within Alberta Health Services' Business Operations & Systems Support area, you will contribute to Supply Chain Management functions and initiatives. Under the guidance of experienced CPSM Project Leads, you'll play a vital role in analyzing data and supporting process improvements.

Description:

  • Analyze contracting, purchasing, and supply chain data, including transaction costing and their financial impact.
  • Compile and analyze primary and secondary data from AHS' inventories and supply chain areas.
  • Assist in process mapping and evaluating processes to identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining within CPSM.
  • Document all work completed, compile reports on findings, and present results to stakeholders involved in initiatives.
  • Develop operational reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), data models, and other analytical tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary cooperative education program.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to apply knowledge to complex business scenarios.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to effectively interact with various levels within an organization.
  • Intermediate (to advanced) computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Suite of applications.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Copy of current University transcript included with application.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • A supply chain management-focused major or minor is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Completed courses or work experience in the healthcare sector and/or knowledge of healthcare supply chain management.
  • Understanding of Oracle, SAP, or other procurement information systems.
  • Understanding of MS Project or Project Management Tracking Software.
  • Prior experience or courses on supply chain management and analytics.
  • Prior experience or courses on financial modeling and managerial costing.
