We are in search of a Senior Consultant based in our Toronto office to enhance our Professional Search practice. You will become part of a dynamic, collaborative team with significant opportunities for career advancement. Our practice emphasizes a retained search model for roles at the Director level and above. Responding to the market's need for mid-level leadership in the private sector, Professional Search utilizes Odgers Berndtson Canada's extensive expertise and resources while delivering cost efficiencies for clients through thorough yet swift execution. Our methodology harmonizes an accelerated search process with a profound comprehension of client needs and the talent market, ensuring successful outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Practice Partners and client organizations in executing search mandates, including formulating search strategies, conducting industry research, reaching out to candidates, and providing regular updates.
- Cultivate and articulate deep functional and/or industry knowledge across various geographies, sectors, and roles.
- Evaluate and develop candidates while fostering strong relationships, engaging with clients, and enhancing expertise in diverse practices to attract high-caliber leaders.
- Enhance client development capabilities with guidance from leadership to strengthen existing relationships and establish robust client interactions and credibility.
Education and Experience:
- University or college graduate or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in a search or talent acquisition capacity.
- Self-motivated individual, capable of planning, developing, and managing multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Natural inquisitiveness and entrepreneurial spirit, strong business insight, results-driven, detail-focused, and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, ability to communicate clearly, and adeptness at interpreting nonverbal and social cues.
- Aspiration to advance your career, with an interest in future client development and engagement responsibilities.
