Unit/Project Overview:

The Standardized Patient Program (SPP), part of the Centre for Simulation-Based Learning (CSBL) within Education Services in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, is essential to medical training.

This program prepares standardized patients (SPs) to replicate real-world clinical situations for students across various healthcare disciplines. The SPP also manages clinical assessments (OSCEs) and certification/licensure examinations.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and well-organized Office Coordinator to assist the SPP and Clinical Examinations.

The ideal candidate will handle a variety of administrative responsibilities including extensive time tracking, invoicing, event coordination, and serving as the primary contact for over 200 casual staff members. The Office Coordinator will also play a crucial role in the logistical arrangements for licensure and certification assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll and Invoicing:
• Process payroll for standardized patients and other program personnel.
• Manage invoicing for both internal and external users.

Human Resources (HR) Support:
• Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of SPs.
• Maintain employee records and address HR-related inquiries.

Event Coordination:
• Organize logistics for clinical assessments, workshops, and training sessions.
• Arrange meeting venues, equipment, and necessary materials.

Database Management:
• Utilize databases for various functions, such as tracking SP onboarding progress and accounts receivable.
• Generate reports as required.

General Administrative Duties:
• Respond to inquiries from SPs, faculty, students, and external stakeholders.
