Job Summary

The Banquet Server is a key member of the food and beverage team at Coast Tsawwassen Inn, a premium all-suite hotel owned and operated by Century Group. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and upholding the hotel's quality standards in the food and beverage department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for Coast Hotels, greeting guests and making them feel welcome.
  • Service hotel catering events and provide customer service through the completion of routine duties and tasks.
  • Set up and tear down function rooms as per the detailed Banquet Event Order.
  • Service the hotel breakfast bar, including setup, maintenance, breakdown, and cleanup.
  • Adhere to quality and industry standards when completing tasks.
  • Stock supplies and maintain inventory levels to support the operation throughout the day.
  • Prepare, stock, and set up/put out food and beverages.
  • Maintain function and meeting rooms, breakfast area, common areas by vacuuming, removing trash, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing.
  • Check on guest satisfaction and follow up on requests where possible and appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a customer service attitude with internal and external contacts.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the property, the Ambassadors, and guests when completing tasks.

Requirements

  • Serving it Right certificate is required.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination is mandatory.
  • Previous banquet experience is an asset.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
