Job Summary

Tartan Towing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Towing Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of our towing operations, ensuring that our vehicles and personnel are deployed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Accurate Records

Ensure that all work records and logs are up-to-date and accurate, including vehicle maintenance records and driver hours of service.

Coordinate Towing Operations

Dispatch personnel and vehicles according to schedules and work orders, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.

Monitor Personnel Workloads

Keep track of personnel workloads and locations, ensuring that our team is working efficiently and effectively.

Communicate with Drivers

Advise drivers of traffic and other problems, and provide them with the information they need to complete their tasks safely and efficiently.

Process Work Orders

Follow up on issues with work orders, ensuring that they are completed on time and to the required standard.

Knowledge of Regulations

Have a thorough knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions.

Computer and Technology Skills

Be proficient in dispatch management service software, monitoring and tracking software, and other technology used in the towing industry.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.

Experience

Experience in the towing industry is an asset, but not required.

Availability

Be available for shift or on-call work, and willing to relocate for this position.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Hours

40 hours per week.
