Tow Truck Operator Job Description

Tartan Towing is seeking a skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. As a Tow Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks to transport vehicles
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's licence
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
