Registered Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments and leadership within the healthcare team.
- Facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based interventions to enhance patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
- Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Recent, related experience in mental health nursing, with a strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Experience working in a mental health setting, with a strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) and the Protection of Persons in Care Act.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
