Job SummaryWe're seeking a District Manager to oversee and support our growing operations in Alberta. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business growth. If you're a passionate leader with a people-first approach, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing team by developing through recognition, coaching, and enthusiastic communication. Conduct regular store visits and weekly district meetings to understand team needs and opportunities.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure your district operates at its highest level, with a commitment to regulatory compliance practices and efficient operations. Align day-to-day business with brand strategy, marketing, and sales objectives, and long-term financial and key performance targets.
- Financial Analysis: Review regional financials, KPIs, secret shopper reports, and store-level marketing efforts to inform business decisions.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Facilitate and lead all NSOs and NSAs within the region, positively representing the organization to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders. Work collaboratively with NSO/NSA leads to ensure timelines are met.
- Store Manager Support: Provide consistent support with the personal development of store managers in your district.
- Guest Experience: Build a best-in-industry guest experience and continually improve it.
- Culture of Learning: Create a culture of learning within your teams and with our guests. Ensure ongoing development for your teams on job-related skills and product education using the tools and resources provided.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews with store managers and work with People and Culture to lead the professional development planning of all store managers and assistant managers within the designated region.
- Store Excellence: Lead the most beautiful shops in the industry and maintain their shine.
- Community Building: Build a community with our neighbors and partners.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone knows and participates in ensuring the wellness, health, and safety of our colleagues and guests as our top priority.
- Proactive Leadership: Proactively identify areas to make an impact and work in conjunction with department leads within the company to provide our people with the resources they need to succeed.
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5 years' people management experience within the retail or hospitality industry.
- Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Hospitality, or Retail Management (preferred).
- Financial Analysis: Experience analyzing financial or sales data, making informed business decisions.
- Operational Excellence: Experience working with best-in-class retail operations, leading multi-door operations a definite asset.
- Proven Track Record: A proven track record of driving operational excellence.
- Time Management: Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Communication: Self-motivated and exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Cannabis Knowledge: Possessing knowledge of cannabis is an asset; enthusiasm is a must.
- Qualifications: Able to complete the Qualified Cannabis Certification program and successfully complete all required background checks.
- Technology: Able to leverage technology, skilled in POS, Social Media, and MS Office.
