Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Renal Care Specialist

Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Renal Care team. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and research to support the needs of our renal patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and document medical history and physical exam findings in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging results
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies independently or in consultation with physician partners
  • Collaborate with the Hospitalists, Specialists, Community Primary Care Practitioners, and Allied Health team members to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BScN required
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification required
  • Masters degree in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner Stream preferred
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred
  • Gerontology Nursing Certification preferred
