Logistics Operations Manager

Amir Quality Meats Inc., a leading wholesale meat production company in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to oversee our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate daily logistics activities, ensuring efficient shipment, inventory, and delivery processes.
- Monitor shipment schedules, resolve operational issues, and maintain compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, optimize transportation and warehouse operations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate with trucking companies to select carriers and communicate regularly with truckers and carriers to build long-term partnerships.
- Assist with the investigation of consumer/customer complaints and processing deviations.
- Uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards, and attend daily operation meetings.
- Capable of using computers and computer control systems, and promote, develop, and enforce safe working practices.
- Notify the HACCP Coordinator of any deviations and work in a cold environment.
- May be required to work on weekends, varying shifts, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with additional qualifications such as an associate's degree or certification in the related field advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and logistics roles and responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work in a cold environment, ability to communicate effectively in English, and experience with ERP systems an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and a team player who is comfortable collaborating with other departments and working independently.
