About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Specialist to join our team at Burnaby Digital Media Inc. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing and developing databases, analyzing data, and implementing data administration policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Science: Apply data science techniques to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Database Design and Development: Design and develop databases to meet business requirements, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Database Management: Operate database management systems to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Data Administration: Develop and implement data administration policies, standards, and models to ensure data quality and security.
  • Research and Documentation: Research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policies, as well as data access rules.
  • Policy Development: Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage, as well as data backup and recovery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and models.
  • Scripting: Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers to automate database tasks.
  • User Requirements: Collect and document user requirements to ensure data meets business needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in database administration, data science, or related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
