About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Analyst to join our team at Burnaby Digital Media Inc. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing database systems to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Science: Apply data analysis and machine learning techniques to extract insights from large datasets and inform business decisions.
  • Database Design and Development: Design and develop database systems to meet the needs of our business, including data modeling, database schema design, and data warehousing.
  • Database Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our database systems, including data backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security.
  • Data Governance: Develop and implement data administration policies, standards, and models to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Research and Documentation: Conduct research to identify data requirements and document data collection and administration policies, as well as data access rules.
  • Policy Development: Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage, as well as data backup and recovery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate teams of data administrators to develop and implement data policies, standards, and models.
  • Scripting and Development: Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers to automate database tasks and improve efficiency.
  • User Requirements: Collect and document user requirements to ensure that database systems meet the needs of our business.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in database administration, data science, or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
