About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Brevitas Consulting Inc. as a Bookkeeper. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable and receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Payroll Management: Manage payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, paying bills, and collecting payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, prepare forecasts, and make recommendations for financial improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
