Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping
- Accurately maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Prepare and post journal entries, and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Manage payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques, and maintaining accurate records.
- Administer benefits, including dental, disability, health care, and vision care plans.
- Accounting and Compliance
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare tax returns and other financial reports as required.
- Education
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
