Role Summary


What is the opportunity?

This position offers a chance to engage in comprehensive analysis and testing activities for medium to large-scale projects. The individual will exhibit a high level of expertise related to requirement gathering and testing within the ServiceNow platform. Responsibilities encompass all facets of project execution, from requirement elicitation and documentation to the development and execution of test cases, ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced analytical methods and documentation to ensure alignment between project scope, detailed requirements, and testing through to implementation.
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, and constraints associated with requirements, communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the prioritization of requirements and employ techniques to clarify business priorities.
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse stakeholder groups to drive the discovery, analysis, and review of requirements.
  • Create and execute functional system test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of critical requirements through test case documentation.
  • Coordinate and perform actual QA tests, monitoring results and addressing any end-to-end issues while updating stakeholders on status and outcomes.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Process Improvement Validation (PIV) activities, including planning, defect triage, and root-cause analysis for issues related to requirements.
  • Seek opportunities to automate and enhance existing processes for greater efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of process documentation and training materials to uphold consistency in standards and adherence to enterprise requirements methodology.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science or Business Analysis.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with the ServiceNow Platform in a Business Systems Analyst or Quality Assurance role.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with various project delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification.
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization, including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation, as well as various elicitation techniques.
  • Familiarity with QA software tools for defect management, regression, performance, and automated testing.
