Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Environmental Services team as a Helper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of public and clinical areas, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient and public washrooms, including restocking supplies and maintaining a high level of hygiene.
  • Perform floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors to a high standard.
  • Clean windows and other glass surfaces to ensure optimal visibility and hygiene.
  • Manage waste and linen disposal, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the smooth operation of the Environmental Services team.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Physical stamina to perform the demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to operate moderate to light equipment, as required.
  • Flexibility to work in multiple areas and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
