Position Title: Avionics Systems Engineer

Overview:

Global Partner Solutions is in search of a skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge avionics systems. The successful applicant will be instrumental in the design, evaluation, certification, and operational support of avionics solutions for modern business aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Management: Establish and oversee comprehensive requirements for systems and subsystems to ensure alignment with safety, certification, and design standards.
  • Collaboration with Suppliers: Work in partnership with system suppliers and related disciplines to guarantee seamless integration of avionics systems into aircraft.
  • System Integration Oversight: Manage the integration of diverse avionics systems, including but not limited to AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS, Transponder, IRS, GPS, FMS, Weather Radar), Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS), and Information/Maintenance & Recording systems (IMS, OMS, Data load, CVR, FDR, AHMS).
  • Testing and Certification: Develop, execute, or supervise tests for development and certification on aircraft and/or testing setups. Analyze and validate test outcomes.
  • Verification and Validation: Support and conduct ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validation activities.
  • Supplier Deliverables Management: Oversee, assess, and authorize deliverables from avionics system suppliers.
  • Certification Liaison: Act as a liaison with certifying authorities or their representatives to facilitate system certification.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide assistance for Final Assembly Line and operational aircraft, addressing and resolving design-related challenges.
  • Development of Tools and Processes: Engage in the creation and implementation of tools and processes to achieve organizational goals.
  • Software Development Engagement: Participate in the design and implementation of software for crew alerting logic, synoptic displays, I/O configuration in an IMA environment, and automation of aircraft-level functionalities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in avionics systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of avionics systems and their integration into aircraft. Familiarity with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems is advantageous.
  • Standards Familiarity: Understanding of industry standards such as DO-178, DO-160, and ARP4754 is beneficial.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage complex systems, collaborate with various stakeholders, and navigate certification processes effectively.
