Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Cash Handling: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments, while balancing cash and completing balance sheets and cash reports.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Communication: Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, and provide general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with overtime required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and ability to work as a team player.
