About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at BM Finishing and Upholstery Inc. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, custom upholstery for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Discuss fabric, colour and style options with customers to ensure their vision is brought to life
  • Provide detailed cost estimates for upholstering furniture and other items
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts to ensure durability and quality
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery to exacting standards
  • Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons to add a touch of elegance
  • Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore their original beauty
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to create intricate designs
  • Garnish the bottom and back of a seat with interwoven rattan for a unique touch
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will be working with precision and accuracy
  • Hand-eye coordination is essential for operating sewing machines and handling delicate materials
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
