Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Administrator to join our team at Maple Lodge Farms. As a key member of our EH&S department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contractor Management: Maintain accurate records of contractor information, liability insurance, and WSIB clearance certificates.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) and other EH&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Orientation and Training: Assist in the facilitation of orientation for new hires and ensure they are aware of company policies and procedures.
  • Accident Investigations: Assist in and report on accident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Document Control: Maintain the electronic integrated management system (IMS) including filing OHSA policies, standards, procedures, forms, and records.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties for the EH&S department, including maintaining stock of first aid and general office supplies, coordinating meetings, and taking minutes.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Experience: Internship completed in an Environmental Health & Safety related field preferred.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards, GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, and food quality.
  • Certifications: First-Aid Certification preferred.
