We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Lead Search Group Inc. as a key member of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and monitor safety risks in the workplace and develop strategies to control them.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class safety standards and support Environmental and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide balanced support to two facilities and their respective site teams.
  • Lead and guide the Environment Health and Safety team, including Specialists, Coordinators, and Administrators.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Environment, Health and Safety Managers.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and legislated requirements.
  • Develop and maintain training programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to create safety engagement among employees and the Plant Management team.
  • Support the implementation of Safety Excellence Program Initiatives.
  • Provide and organize Health and Safety training for employees.
  • Provide Contractor Management support and collaborate with Operations to reduce risk on contractor-related work.
  • Support Environmental and Sustainability initiatives in collaboration with Senior Manager, Environment and Sustainability.
  • Support and maintain site emergency response programs.

Requirements:

  • Progressive Environmental, Health and Safety experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading and coaching high-performance teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of OH&SA and WSIB, and application of legislative and industry safety standards.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Health and Safety or related field.
  • Safety Designation: CRSP, CHSC, or CSP.
