We are a leading structural steel fabrication company seeking a skilled Drafter-Designer to join our team. As a Drafter-Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed designs and drawings for our steel construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings for steel construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements, identifying potential issues and suggesting solutions.
  • Design Development: Develop and prepare design sketches, construction specifications, costs, and material estimates for projects.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation packages and drawing sets, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Quality Control: Examine drawings for conformity and errors, ensuring high-quality output.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in steel fabrication drafting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT, as well as strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes and industry standards.
Work Environment:
