Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc-air cutting equipment, to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy loads and materials.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
