Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase the flavors and ingredients of South Indian cuisine, while ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional service.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ordering of ingredients and supplies to ensure that the kitchen is always well-stocked and that waste is minimized.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and healthy environment, and that high standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and preferences, and ensuring that they have a positive dining experience.
- Education: A degree in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a South Indian restaurant.
- Skills: Excellent culinary skills, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
