We are a reputable restaurant seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their needs are met.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Restaurant, willing to relocate.
- Transportation: Own transportation, own vehicle, public transportation available, willing to travel.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, work under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, team player.
- Parking: Parking available.
- Work Term: Permanent.
