Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specimen Collection and Processing: You will be responsible for collecting and processing specimens from patients, ensuring that they are handled and stored properly for testing.
- Patient Care and Communication: You will interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, providing them with clear instructions and support throughout the specimen collection process.
- Medical Procedures and Data Entry: You will perform phlebotomies and other medical procedures as required, and accurately record patient information and test results.
- Team Collaboration and Client Relationships: You will work closely with our laboratory team to ensure that specimens are processed efficiently and effectively, and maintain strong relationships with our clients and patients.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: You will have completed a Medical Laboratory Assistant program or have equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.
- Technical Skills: You will have proficiency in data entry and communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Personal Qualities: You will possess a strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality, and be able to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
