We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team in White Rock, BC. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in the specimen collection process, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that our laboratory operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and prepare patients for specimen collection, ensuring that they understand the process and any necessary protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings as required.
- Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Enter patient data and requisition information into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience in phlebotomy, intravenous infusion, and/or intravenous therapy.
- ECG training or experience is an asset.
- Proficient data entry skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
