About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Fariba Elmi & Brian D Robertson. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Encourage regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain physical and mental well-being.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring a safe and healthy space for our clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and well-being.
Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required
Working Conditions

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Room and board will be provided, and you will work in the employer's/client's home.
