Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to clients in their residences. This role is vital in ensuring clients receive the support they need for daily living activities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • Optional live-in accommodation available at no cost, though not mandatory.
  • Work will be conducted in the client’s home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications as needed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Encourage and assist clients in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Handle laundry and maintain household linens.
  • Perform light cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals tailored to client needs.
Required Certifications
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate is necessary.
Target Audience
  • Services primarily directed towards adults, including young adults and females.
Safety and Security
  • A criminal record check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Overtime may be required based on client needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

  • Flexible and able to take initiative.
  • Organized and reliable in task execution.
Work Conditions
  • This is a temporary position with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
