Job Summary

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients in their homes or facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, skincare, and light meal preparation.
  • Assess, anticipate, and respond to the changing needs of patients, communicating effectively with our Total Care resources team.
  • Perform delegated and assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Travel within assigned regions to provide care and support to patients in their residences or facilities.

Requirements

  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • G2/G License with access to a vehicle.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, crouching, kneeling, and reaching freely for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check.
  • Updated immunization record, including TB Test (last 6 months).
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (Additional language skills considered an asset).
