About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Parkland Corporation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall performance of our business units, ensuring that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures, and lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, including managing inventory, coordinating product ordering, and overseeing maintenance of property and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Territory Manager to analyze and review branch finances and operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support to drive business growth and retention.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure succession planning and talent retention.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge and expertise to drive business improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • University degree and/or 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, business accounting, marketing, and sales.
  • Industry knowledge relating to energy distribution is an asset, with familiarity with bulk plants and retail sites.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience, with a track record of success in managing teams and driving business results.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel regularly, with a willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
