Position: Maintenance Electrician - Automation Specialist

Location: Brantford, ON

Salary: $42/hr + Shift premium afternoons

Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive / Electrician

Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent

Shift: Weekday Morning (M-T 6:00am – 4:30pm) Weekday Evening (M-T 6:00pm – 4:30am) Weekend Days (F-S-S 6:00am – 6:00pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely Install and Maintain Machinery: Utilize hand and power tools to install, maintain, and repair machinery, support equipment, and structures on all machinery and equipment.
  • Interpret Technical Drawings: Read and interpret schematics, electrical, and mechanical drawings for plant equipment and processes.
  • Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs on machinery and plant support systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ensure Compliance: Inspect installations and operations to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Compile Data and Reports: Compile data and write reports on projects when necessary.
  • Maintain Manufacturing Condition: Maintain and manage the manufacturing condition of the production line.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical Technician/Electrician Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience as an electrical technician/electrician in manufacturing.
  • Valid License: Valid 442A or 309A license.
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical Skills: Strong mechanical/electrical skills.
  • PLC Experience: Experience with sequence control and PLCs.
  • ISO-Based Quality Systems: Knowledge and experience with ISO-based quality systems are preferred but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
