About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Paramjit's Kitchen. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Inventory Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates
    • Prepare and submit reports
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Skills
    • Excellent oral communication skills
    • Flexibility and initiative
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. You will be required to bend, crouch, kneel, and walk as part of your duties.
