Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Specialist to join our team at No.1 Collision (Richmond). This permanent position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The work site is characterized by demanding conditions including:

  • Dusty surroundings
  • Noisy atmosphere
  • Presence of odours
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Estimating repair costs based on damage assessments
  • Inspecting vehicles post-repair
  • Planning and executing repair tasks
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Instructing apprentices in repair techniques
  • Replacing various vehicle components including body parts and frames
  • Preparing surfaces for painting through sanding and masking
  • Repairing dents and defects using specialized tools
  • Removing and replacing damaged panels and parts
  • Applying primers and paint to vehicle surfaces
  • Repairing or replacing interior elements
  • Fixing damaged windows and sunroofs
  • Mixing and matching paint colors
  • Utilizing soldering equipment and fillers for repairs
  • Straightening frames using appropriate equipment
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
Experience Required

Experience in the following areas is essential:

  • Body components
  • Doors and frames
  • Frame straightening
  • Front end components
  • Interior components
  • Metal cutting
  • Paint spraying
  • Underbody components
  • Welding techniques
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to bend, crouch, and kneel
  • Attention to detail in all tasks
