We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at JnB Homecare Services Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate and Manage Food Costs
Develop and implement strategies to optimize food costs, ensuring profitability and efficiency in our kitchen operations.
Lead Kitchen OperationsSupervise and direct the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
Menu Development and PlanningCollaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new menu items, specials, and promotions that meet the tastes and preferences of our clients.
Staff Training and DevelopmentProvide guidance, coaching, and training to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
Inventory ManagementOversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
Health and SafetyEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all staff and clients.
Requirements- Culinary Education and Certification
Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
Leadership and Management ExperienceProven track record of leading high-performing kitchen teams and managing multiple restaurant operations.
Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, clients, and vendors.
Physical DemandsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, withstanding physical demands of kitchen work, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
