About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Bunkhouse Desi Junction Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes.

Chef Supervision and Training

Supervise and train a team of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional cuisine.

Inventory Management and Requisitioning

Manage food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that requisitions are made in a timely and efficient manner.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that all food meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste, and that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to quality control procedures.

Leadership and Teamwork

Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence, while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role.

Work Setting

Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to heat, noise, and other kitchen hazards.

Personal Suitability

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and make sound decisions under pressure.

Working Conditions
  • Work Hours

40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Language

English language proficiency required.
