Job Title: Commissioning Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Supervisor to join our team at CB Canada. As a Commissioning Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning of utility scale wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Commissioning Manager in the commissioning of utility scale wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal projects, ensuring compliance with the schedule and safety procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed plans for assembly and commissioning, according to the existing basic plan of the project.
  • Prepare and document commissioning and energization procedures, including Permit to Work and Isolation Certificate when requested.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Conduct visual inspections and functional testing of equipment and systems prior to commissioning tests.
  • Support the Commissioning Manager in managing the list of required documentation for commissioning, including as-built and final documentation for handover to Operations and Maintenance Units.
  • Supervise tests relating to the commissioning of high, medium, and low-voltage equipment and electrical systems, according to regulations.
  • Report on commissioning activities on a daily and weekly basis, according to Enel commissioning standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with demonstrated work experience providing high-level engineering support in the power generation industry.
  • Knowledge of bench test instruments and test methodologies.
  • Knowledge of machineries, equipment, and appliances used within the commissioning sector.
  • Good knowledge of grid requirements for energization, synchronization, and operation of renewable power plants.
  • Good knowledge of SCADA and communication protocols used within the commissioning sector.
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and construction safety and environmental management.
  • Good knowledge of the logic of electrical equipment protection and related instrumentation.
  • Experience using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS-Project.
